A Cupcake Full Week

Last week, my friend and I made 86 cupcakes that were all decorated differently. I had exams that week, which meant I only had to be at school during my exams, which meant I had the rest of the time to bake! We made many different types of cakes (some for a dance party and some for a Skylanders party we were helping out with). We also made a cake like the portal used in the Skylanders game. We had heaps of fun, as well as made a big mess.. But whats fun without a mess?

What's your favourite thing to bake?

Exploring my Backyard ~ The Leg of Mutton Lake

Last Thursday morning instead of going for a run, we decided to go for a walk down to the Leg of Mutton Lake. My town is situated around different volcanoes that erupted thousands of years ago. Many of the lakes in the area were created in the area because of these volcanoes,The Leg of Mutton Lake was one of these. I was a little bit scared of walking down into what seemed like a crater at dusk, with no much light. Anyway, it was a great little walk and I got what seemed like at the time as good photos. After looking at them tonight they were all very blurry (I must have been in a rush? haha) But I hope you enjoy them:)
Sorry I haven't written much lately, but don't worry, I shall be writing again soon:)

Oh Deary Me...

I figure what better time to study than whilst brushing my teeth?
My sister thinks it's odd that their are "Animal Farm" quotes everywhere..
Psychology has literally taken over the fridge
Exams... That special word that stresses out any student in a 10 metre radius. Next week is my first round of exams, and even though none of them go toward my SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education.. I think..) grade, and only some go toward my school grade, I seem to find myself very stressed and worried. And after doing Health Psychology in my Psychology class this term, I am realising why I am always feeling run down and am going through cold sore cream like it's toothpaste. Because of all of this, I may not be able to blog very often, not only because I am studying heaps and don't have time to write, but also, not much is actually happening in my life a the moment other studying and/or finishing last minute assignments.
Just letting you know that I am still around, and I won't be going anywhere.. Other than to the pile of books on my desk.
I am managing to find some time to use Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter, so make sure you follow me - links up the top right:)

Review; "The Fault in our Stars" by John Green

Last Thursday night I began reading “The Fault in our Stars”, by Saturday night I had finished. In less than 48 hours, I had read one of the most beautiful, eye opening books I have  ever read. I have read about Cancer, and have known people tackling the disease, but this book puts things into a different perspective. I put off reading this book for a couple of months, as I knew it had a sad ending, and didn't want to cry. But crying is worth it! And the end was completely different to how I expected. I decided to read it as the movie comes out in a couple of weeks and I wanted to read the book before I watched the movie. I cannot wait until the night I sit with my friends in the theatre, probably crying but definitely enjoying the movie. And I don’t think it is necessarily a “teenage girl” book. Boys and people of different ages will most definitely enjoy it. The Fault in our Stars is definitely a book that needs to be on the top of your reading list!
