My Future

Lately I have been thinking about what I want to do when I get older and leave school, so I thought I would share my plan with you:)

Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be a teacher. I remember coming home from school when I was 7 and giving my sister little school lessons. We even had a table where "school" would take place. I have always enjoyed teaching people. In school we have had to start thinking about what we want to do and how we will get there. I have enjoyed this because I now know what I need to achieve to become a teacher.

Last term, all year tens did work experience and I did mine at my sisters school. I worked in the Special Education class (so working with kids with disabilities) and one day in the music classroom. I am so glad that I worked in the Special Ed class as it has made me think more about what type of teacher I want to be.

I now know that I want to become a Primary School teacher, specialising in Special Education as well as doing Music and Drama.
I have also been thinking a lot lately about how disadvantaged some parts of the world are, especially in education. So I would like to go overseas somewhere where teachers are not so available and teach.

I will of course continue doing Music and Drama as I get older, and I think they will play an important part in my classroom.

All of this might change as I continue to become older (although I hope it doesn't as  being a teacher will be amazing) But I know I will be in a position who helps people, and I will always give 110% everyday.

I hope you enjoyed this post. I thought it might give you a bit more of an insight to who I am, and who I want to become.
If you would like to share with us what you want to do when your older, make sure you comment below:)

October

November? How on Earth can this year be nearly at the close? I mean, I still remember my first day of the school year like it was yesterday? But here I am, writing about the month of October, and what a quick but quiet one it was for me.

A the start of October, I was still on my school holidays, and not much happened. Other than going to the movies and staying at friends' house. Most of the holidays was me either sitting at home or at work.

Visit from friends
We did get a visit from our friends, whom came camping in my town. We helped them set up their tents in the very freezing and windy conditions of my lovel piece of paradise. Whilst being ever so useful I was smart enough to get stung by a bee, right on my hand. Why a bee would be out and about on a gloomy day it was I have no clue. But I have never been stung be a bee, and lets just say I did not enjoy the experience. As I am someone who doesn't stop worrying, I of course was worried I would be allergic to bees. I quickly calmed down as the mum out o the group was also a nurse and told I was not having a reaction.. I was very pleased!! While they were in town, we also went out for lunch. So the 10 of us all sat down in the local Hungry Jacks and had lunch. But as there were ten of us the adult sat separate from us kids, and as I was the oldest I was supposed to be mature and make sure they behave. Well we had the smart idea to see who put the most straws together to make one really long straw and drink from there soft drink. They may not see me as a mature teenager any more... They of course said that the next time we see them we have to bring lots of straws and make even bigger ones.. haha:)

Charis' Solo
A few months ago Charis was a performance in Adelaide where lots and lots of choirs from all over South Australia. Well as well as performing in Adelaide, we had a regional one here in the South East. A few of the songs have solos, so Charis tried out for one called 'Seize the Day', and she got it!! She was the only person from her school to receive a solo and was very excited. She performed brilliantly and did her school proud. I was the proudest sister in the building!!

School
As I said before October started during my school holidays, unfortunately  the holidays ended and off I was back to school. I do enjoy school, so it wasn't really as annoying as it is for some. So far this term has been quite normal, and I haven't done anything but school work. Except last week I went to a Reconciliation Conference where we talked about Aboriginals rights. I found it really interesting and very rewarding as now I know even more about their culture and lifestyle 40,000 years and still now.

The show
Just last weekend was my local show, it was a very miserable day, but was made up by all the fun we had I went with my friends and my sister. I went on a few rides, although my sister went on some truly scary rides with a couple of my friends. Charis doesn't do well with movement and has even thrown up when being spun on an office chair. Lets just say I was a bit worried about her!!

Spring!!!
It has been spring now for 2 months, and other than a few days here and there we have been having horrible weather in my area, whilst nearly everywhere else is having very hot days. But I'd like to say it has finally turned around and we are having a beautiful day here today, I thought I should write outside!!

I think that is pretty much it. Like I said, it has been quick but quiet!!
