Review; A Corner of White ~ by Jaclyn Moriarty

"Madeline Tully lives in Cambridge, England, the World - a city of spires, Isaac Newton and Auntie's Tea Shop. Elliot Baranski lives in Bonfire, the Farms, the Kingdom of Cello - where seasons roam, the Butterfly Child sleeps in a glass jar, and bells warn of attacks from dangerous colours.

They are worlds apart - until a crack opens up between them; a corner of white - the slim seal of a letter. Elliot begins to write to Madeline, the Girl-in-the-World - a most dangerous thing to do for suspected cracks must be reported and closed. But Elliot's father has disappeared and Madeline's mother is sick. Can a stranger from another world help unravel the mysteries in your own? Can Madeline and Elliot find the missing pieces of themselves before it's too late?
A mesmerising story of two worlds; the cracks between them, the science that binds them and the colours that infuse them."
(Blurb from "A Corner of White" by Jaclyn Moriarty, 2012)

This is quite possibly one of the best books I will ever read. It may sound like I am exaggerating, but it is just that. After reading the "Book Thief" I needed a book that was peppy, happy and colourful. This is the type of book that has you walking your daily life, with it in hand, under your nose. Jaclyn Moriarty has done an excellent job in writing it and has an awesome writing style! It is the first book in the series called " The Colours of Madeline" and I know it is the beginning of something wonderful. After finishing it this afternoon, I convinced my dad to let me look in a shop for the next book in the series whilst he grocery shopped. Cannot wait to see what is coming!!

You can find it here on Amazon.

Are you reading a good book?

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter Everyone!!! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend and received heaps of chocolate!! I spent the weekend working (where we had record breaking people through) but also spending it at a sinkhole in town with my Church having breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt. The kids loved the egg hunt and everyone enjoyed bacon and eggs. It was a very fun event and made our Easter. I hope every is well and had a brilliant weekend.

Exploring my backyard ~ Port McDonnell & Sinkholes

Yesterday we showed some of my family around our little part of Australia. We ventured to Port McDonnell (to various beaches) and some of the sinkholes within my town. It was a great day, and I was able to take some nice snaps. I liked so many, I couldn't not have some of them on my blog..

Cute Cafe ~ "Courtyard"

My Mum's Apple Pie
My Hot Chocolate
My Chocolate Cake
A Cute Bike Out The Front

The Shop Used To Be A Church

The Cafe Was An Old House

Today I was home sick from school, which meant I had to travel to Millicent with my mum and our church's home league. We went to a lovely cafe called "Courtyard" which is on the same property as a plant shop. The food and drinks were tasty, the cafe and the view was great and the shop had awesome things to buy. We found this little marque, which we thought we were allowed to go into so we found things real cheap (I found a beautiful scarf for $5, marked down from $30.. I had to have it!!). Turns out it was where they were storing all the sale items for Sunday.. They still sold them to us though!! This is a place all must visit whilst in Millicent on your travels.

Current Favourites ~ March

Hey guys:) I thought today, I would start another new series; my current favourites. I thought every now and then I will blog about what products (any any other random thing) that I am currently enjoying to use.. or you know.. eat..

Biore Facewash

This is a great cleanser for my face. When you put it on you can feel it working (not sure if that makes sense). It also has beads for extra cleansing. It also smells nice:) I think I got this product in magazine, but I am sure it would be in many stores. I have been using it for about 6 months and it has lasted very long, still have quite a bit in the bottle.

Toni & Guy Hairspray

After not reading the 'for natural hold' in store, then seeing it at home I was quite disappointed as my hair needs a very, very good hairspray to keep it tame. I still tried it, and it holds wonderfully. This is a very strong, tough hairspray. Not to mention a very nice smell.

Natio hand cream
This cream does wonders for my hands and nails. It makes my hands so soft, nails strong plus, smell nice.

Thankyou hand wash

Not only does this hand wash cleanse and smell nice, it also is sold by a great cause. The thankyou products are made to raise money to help end poverty, a cause I don't mind contributing to. They also have water and other beauty products.

This moisturiser is great. It makes my skin feel smooth and is very handy in the spray on bottle.

Loves me...loves me not perfume

This perfume snells wonderful. As the bottle says, it is perfect for spring. even though we are headed into our colder months, I still find myself wearing nearly every day.

TRESemme Shampoo and Conditioner

This shampoo and conditioner smells great and makes my hair very smooth. My hair has the habit of drying out, very quickly, but this keeps it perfect. Plus, I am the type of person hat accidently conditions before shampoo, so having different colour bottles is a massive plus!

I hope you guys like this kind of post, I definitely enjoy writing it:) If you have any other suggestions of things to write about, make sure you leave a comment below.
