"Madeline Tully lives in Cambridge, England, the World - a city of spires, Isaac Newton and Auntie's Tea Shop. Elliot Baranski lives in Bonfire, the Farms, the Kingdom of Cello - where seasons roam, the Butterfly Child sleeps in a glass jar, and bells warn of attacks from dangerous colours.
They are worlds apart - until a crack opens up between them; a corner of white - the slim seal of a letter. Elliot begins to write to Madeline, the Girl-in-the-World - a most dangerous thing to do for suspected cracks must be reported and closed. But Elliot's father has disappeared and Madeline's mother is sick. Can a stranger from another world help unravel the mysteries in your own? Can Madeline and Elliot find the missing pieces of themselves before it's too late?
A mesmerising story of two worlds; the cracks between them, the science that binds them and the colours that infuse them."

(Blurb from "A Corner of White" by Jaclyn Moriarty, 2012)
This is quite possibly one of the best books I will ever read. It may sound like I am exaggerating, but it is just that. After reading the "Book Thief" I needed a book that was peppy, happy and colourful. This is the type of book that has you walking your daily life, with it in hand, under your nose. Jaclyn Moriarty has done an excellent job in writing it and has an awesome writing style! It is the first book in the series called " The Colours of Madeline" and I know it is the beginning of something wonderful. After finishing it this afternoon, I convinced my dad to let me look in a shop for the next book in the series whilst he grocery shopped. Cannot wait to see what is coming!!
You can find it here on Amazon.
Are you reading a good book?
