My Holiday Experiances

Heyy, I have been on many holidays, and as I live in Australia you never run out of places to go. So I thought in this blog post I would write about the funny stories I have to share about my holidays.

Canberra
The first holiday I would like to talk about is my year six camp to Canberra. This was the furthest I had ever gone away without my parents, so I was very nervous and excited. We lived in Colac (Victoria) at the time. The school bus left at six in the morning and we didn't get to Canberra until six at night. The bus ride was very long (as you can imagine, spending the bus trip with 50 other preteens). The campsite was one that has many schools at once, so each school had an allocated eating time, and ours was at 6pm. So we had to jump on the bus. leave our bags and run to dinner. Some of the food was ok, the rest were.. not so ok. Whilst in Canberra we went and saw many things, Questicon, National Museum, National Gallery, Old Parliament House, New Parliament House etc. It was very fun!! Our whole year level loved going.
I searched through all the blurry pictures I took to find some that weren't taken whilst I was moving!! :)

Lavender Farm
A few years ago some of my family came with us to Healesville for a holiday at the Lavender Farm. It was very fun.. Especially with 11 people in one house. The farm was beautiful and we got to help feed the horses and other animals. The were a couple of dogs, and my cousins got very attached to them!! While we were there we went to the Tulip Festival, on the Puffing Billy (a train) and much more. It was a very enjoyable week!!

This is me and some of my cousins at the Tulip Festival (this was about 3 years ago.. we all look very different now) ;)

Adelaide
Pretty much all of our family lives in Adelaide (the capital of South Australia), so when we go to Adelaide it a big family reunion. But now that we have returned to South Australia, and we only live 5 hours away, we go more often than ever. It also helps my parent work head quarters are there so we are always having to go there for meeting etc. But ever since we young, whenever we are with some of my cousins, we always put on a performance (all of my cousins are younger than me). We have done Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel  and now they are getting older they are more interested in doing stand up comedy or dances. Well, earlier this year they called me into their play room, and they said they wanted to make a band. Then we had the idea to make music video. Anyway, long story short, we made a music video to One Way Or Another. It was late at night.. SO we may be in our pajamas...Enjoy!!

I have plenty more stories, but it would take me days to write them all down for you;). I might do a Part 2 later in the year if you would like.
See ya!!

July!!

Hiii guys:)
Well July went just as fast as June! I have been oober busy.. I also have to say sorry for not posting in a month. I want to post, but I haven't had any ideas of what to write about.. But I promise I will try more anyhow. That's why I like doing these "What I've done this month" posts because I just have to ramble on about my month;). Anyway, to the important stuff. This month I have had school holidays, rehearsals, camps and much more.

Rev Camp

During the second week of my school holidays, I went to the Salvation Army Revolution Camp. I went with a couple of my friends and we had so much fun. During the day we had free time and 'Pirate Wars', we were all put into teams and we had to make a flag, ship, name and theme song. My team was the whit team, and we were called the Booty Thieves (like the treasure? People told us it was Bounty.. but we kept it;). We had challenges including one that was like the Amazing Race where we had to do lots of mini challenges (one was having to eat a whole bag of oranges.. Lets just say we didn't enjoy that one as much as having to play with playdough) At the end of the camp we found out which team won.. And we won!! Go Booty Thieves!!! We won a treasure of gold..en covered chocolate. We were so excited;). Also on the camp we had worship sessions and devotions sessions. I enjoyed this part of the camp as well:)

Rehearsal

Next week is my school production of Copacabana, so I have been having plenty of rehearsals. I enjoy them so it's okay:)... but the nerves are starting to come on, but I can't wait!!

Debating

This month I have been in two debates. We tried so hard, and out of the two debates we won one!! It was so exciting!! I was third speaker both times (I like rebutting.. Telling the other team what they did wrong) ;). Both times the adjudicator came up to us and gave us tips and said that we did really well. In the first debate I stood up, and half way through my speech I dropped a couple of my cue cards.. I was so embarrassed, but I just pretended like nothing happened and picked them up and carried on:).

Mums accident

After the school holidays my parents had to go to Mount Lofty for a conference with their work. Except two days into it my mum fell over in the Botanical Gardens and broke her leg.. Except when she fell over my dad had just went to get the car, so know-one was there to help her. Luckily she wasn't in too much pain and when dad did discover her, they drove to an Adelaide hospital and got it checked. She had to have surgery. Now.. 2 and a half weeks later mum is still off her feet and has to be still for a couple of months. Mum is having a lot of fun doing word searches. Well for the first five minutes.
Although Benni is enjoying it. Because mum is home all the time now, he has someone to sit with. He also has experienced what sitting in a wheelchair feels like. That brightened up mums day as well, so that was good:)

I think that's pretty much it. Comment below what you guys have done in July.. Or anything exciting you've done before. Also, if you have any ideas that I should write about, I have no idea what I should do, so ideas are welcome. See you next time.

P.S Random Photo Time;

This is a whale near Victor Harbour  just as we were leaving Rev Camp. It was pretty close in, and made some very large splashes:)
