Trip to Adelaide - UN Youth Summit

It was also my cousins 10th birthday

Whilst neglecting homework, I read "The Fault in our Stars". I will be putting a review of the book up tomorrow!
I chose to do the most pleasing homework out of the pile
To get to Adelaide, a tunnel is what you must go through
The Conference was held at University of South Australia in Adelaide
UniSA

Last weekend I had the privilege to travel to Adelaide and attend an UN Youth Summit, which was held in every capital around Australia at the exact same time. This year, Australia is lucky enough to hold the G20 Summit, where 20 countries across the globe discuss issues. We are also holding the Y20, which is the youth equivalent. At this Summit I attended, held by the UN Youth SA, we discussed local and international issues such as economies, equality, and refugees. At the end of the day, we broke into three different groups to discuss one issue each, and our ideas would actually be talked about and discussed at the G20 and Y20 Summits. I chose to join the group talking about refugees. I am very passionate about this subject, and in my opinion we should be welcoming anyone coming to our country, especially when they have no other choice to flee their home, no matter their use of transport. I feel so privileged working with other youth in South Australia, and letting politicians know what we want, and how we would fix issues. I plead you, if you get the chance to do something even a little bit similar, it is so fun, educational and rewarding! Take the option up!

5K Run!!

I forgot to stop tracking my run..
A couple of months ago, I decided to get fit and start running 3 times a week. I went from just being able to run at 60 second intervals to 30 minutes without stopping. Well, today I ran 5 km's (adding up to around 50 minutes of non-stop running). I am so excited that I have got this far, and I don't plan on stopping, I'm hoping to keep getting faster and faster. Everyday, near the end of the run I took a photo of the lake (and one day, the beach) which shows the gradual change in colour of the lake. I wrote about the deciding to get fit here. If you have don something similar, comment below:)

OOTD~ 4th May 2014

Knitted Jumper - Ally Fashion , Jeans - Ally Fashion , Boots - Target (sorry about the caravan in the picture.. we haven't moved it yet;))

Necklace - Diva
Yes, it's that time of the year where you can't over heat nor freeze in just a woolen jumper, the cold has only just set in (on Friday it literally did not stop raining all day, turns out we have a leaky roof:/). I fell in over with this very popular piece of clothing last winter, and have been very excited to extend my knitted collection. I just bought this jumper on Thursday and have been waiting for Sunday to come so I could show it off.

Is there anything your excited to wear this season?

Review; Cracks in the Kingdom by Jaclyn Moriarty

This is the second book in the 'Colours of Madeline' series and it was FANTASTIC!! I could not put it down. It is odd but very wonderful at the same time. I really, really hope Jaclyn Moriarty is planning on writing more in this series (Jaclyn, if you are reading this, I beg you!!) Anyway, I highly recommend this series:)
