Outfit of the Day - Sunday 23

Cardigan - TEMT , Shirt - Thrift Shop , Skirt - Alley Fashion , Boots - Target , Socks - Cotton On
This week after Church we had to leave for Adelaide straight away to go to another Church Service, so I had to wear something nice but also comfortable enough for a 5 hour car drive. This is what I came up with!
P.S. Sorry I posted this a day late, I didn't get to where we are staying in Adelaide until late:)

Review: The Book Thief - by Markus Zusak

The Book Thief - by Markus Zusak
Hey guys, I thought that since I have just finished reading the Book Thief, I should post a review. I started reading this book 7 weeks ago and could not put it down! Halfway through the term there were a couple of weeks I didn’t really have time to read, but once I did, I didn't stop. Going to school and not reading was difficult;) The story has recently been made into a film, which I have not seen yet (I wanted to read it first). I won’t tell you to much as I don’t want to spoil it. If you’re into history and stories set in the past, this I the book for you!! It really warms your heart as the characters are beautiful. I cried at the end.. Partially because of what happens, but also because I didn't want the book to end. I am now reading a book called “A corner of white”, so hopefully when I finish that book I will post another review:) If you have read The Book Thief and have have any comments, add them below. If you have any suggestions of some nice books, also comment below:)

I'm gonna get fit

I am definitely not what you could call a 'sporty' person or even a 'fit' person. But I have recently decided that I want to get fit and be able to run for a reasonable amount of time. My dad then suggested an app that gets you to gradually run longer and longer each week for an 8 week program. I'm not sure how well I am going to go, but I am going to give a crack. I have decided to run around a big, beautiful lake in the middle of my town three times a week, and everyday time I finish I'm going to take a photo of the sunrise (that'll motivate me to get back to the car!) I'm half way through my 2nd week, and I haven't broken a bone yet, so that's got to be an achievement! I have a playlist of songs all ready to motivate me. Wish me luck!!

Exploring my backyard ~ Piccaninnie Ponds

By living in Australia I have the privilege to live in a country full of beautiful landscapes and animals. By living in the South-East of South Australia we have the opportunity to drive 15 minutes down the road to sinkholes full of water, beautiful beaches, and in my case, to work at a cave in the middle of town that literally our town is built above. As it was a public holiday, after I came home from work we took the opportunity to visit Piccaninnie Ponds and the beach near it. It was a beautiful day, and even though the water was freezing we ventured into the shallow waters of the ocean. When looking out to see nothing but water and the horizon. It was breathtaking! We then went to the Pond (we didn't go in as you need to either have a diving licence or have organised with a shop to snorkel - my dad and our friend did actually snorkel before we got there). The water is so clear, the divers say it feels like you are floating in air.  My family and I are going to start taking more opportunities to explore our backyard, you never know, hopefully one day I can say I have traveled all around Australia, although it is nice sometimes to play tourist in your own town.

One year a blog

Today is my blogs one year anniversary. I know some months I haven't blogged much, but I have still had so much fun. It just makes me more excited to see what comes up in the next year. So don't worry, I'll be here for many more years to come. I just want to thank you for reading my blog, it means a great deal to me. The biggest thing for me on this blog in the past year has been talking about my Anxiety and Tic Disorders last June. I recieved so many page views the day I posted it, and so many people (people I know) told me how proud they were of me. It really made me happy. If you haven't read the post make sure you do:) Once again, thank you so much!! <3

Review: Loves me... Loves me not perfume

Just as my mum and I walk through the local shopping centre we were stopped by some people who were selling perfumes. I am very glad they did!! We bought 6 perfumes for $90, but out of the 3 different types this was my favourite. I'm not very good describing smells, but "spring" is a good description. It is very fresh and happy. It also isn't very strong, a perfect scent to wear everyday.  I think this will become my everyday perfume, an even through winter I will still smell fresh and springy? It comes in a very cute bottle and that fills 100ml. A purchase I am very happy to have made.

February

Hey guys!!:)
Sorry I haven't posted in nearly a month, I have had nothing to talk about other than homework and whats been happening on TV. Life as a High School Student ayy.. Anyway, I thought I'd write I nice quick post about what my life has been like for the past month.

Lion's Youth of the Year Competition
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to compete in The Lions Youth of the Year Competition, where youth from around our town were interviewed and participated in a speaking contest, then the judges would decide who the Youth of the Year and the Speaker of the night. I was lucky enough to be announced speaker of the night. It was a great event, and I got to compete against four other amazing people from my town and got to meet some great people.

Sports day's
The best part of first term is always the swimming sports and athletics days at school. I am not what you could call a sporty person per se, but I do enjoy participating and recieving a point for my team. I didn't compete at swimming sports, but I did participate in the 100 m, 200 m, Javelin and shot put and various novelty events. I only came last in the running events and no bones were broken. It was a very successful day for myself;) Over all it was a great day, every one at school enjoyed themselves very much. My house may not have won, but we did our best and came lucky 2nd.

I got my L's
Last September I turned 16. In Australia that means you are lucky enough to become old enough to get your learners drivers licence. I have been putting it off for nearly 6 months.. And I was finally brave enough to do the test.. And I passed!! I haven't gone for a drive yet (I'm going to get lessons), but I am quite nervous..

Hopefully I will be blogging a bit more in weeks to come. I haven't had much to blog about. If there is any you have any ideas on future posts, make sure you comment below. As I won't be able to post as often because of school, make sure you follow me on instagram and tumblr:). Anyway, see ya later
